Freight Forwarding – What is it?

What is freight forwarding? This is a popular question that I get asked by many people, from all different walks of life. Well I am going to answer that question here on our blog. Freight forwarding is basically the shipment of goods or cargo from one destination to another. Freight can be forwarded or shipped by sea, road or air. A freight forwarder is often known and looked at as a travel agent in the cargo industry. At KMB Shipping we provide a range of freight shipping services and have done so for over 12 years.

  1. Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing some information about this topic. This is a must-read blog. You have such an interesting and informative page. I'll be looking forward to be visiting your site again and for your other posts as well. Keep up the good work!
Some companies have stopped operating or have been merged into other carriers. In October of 2011, the last available statistics showed there where 25,746 domestic flights and 15,685 international flights which departed from Logan International Airport. For domestic operations this allows us a choice of approximately 860 flights a day to either direct ship or connect from other hubs for our Next Flight Out operations.
